no audio on burned dvds

i have downloaded a couple of shows from differerent places and they all are missing audio files. am i doing something stupid or missing something. example the dbt show i am downloading dosen't have an audio file with it that i can find. any suggestions?

You don't end up with a separate audio file when you have a DVD. The audio and video are together in the vob files.

i use nero to burn the files and i get the video, chapters etc but no audio am i missing a conversion or something. thanks for the help

do you know what format the audio was supposed to be?
Like was it AC3 or LPCM or MPEG Layer 2

What player are you using to play it? Is it a player that plays DVDs? You can look in our FAQ under Software, or just grab VLC from videolan.org
