Unhappy Uploading probs

I need help, please

System: Win7 with Win7 Firewall

In the firewall and also in the anti-virus utorrent is excluded for ALL ports!
Uploading starts only when i disabled BOTH, when the torrent runs i can enabled both and the transfer runs with no problems!
Whatīs matter? Any idea???

Thanks in advanced

Re: Uploading probs

Do you make a Separate Folder for the uploaded files? When making the upload torrent file, you should save it there . . . In other words, its' own folder . . . worked for me . . .

I have two folders, in/out. Itīs the same configuration like under WinXp (with XP no problems!), I mean itīs a WIN7 problem, this has nothing to do with the folder structure.

Re: Uploading probs

Hi
I think it may help if you regard the problems as 2 separate ones. Putting yourself in a position with the antivirus and firewall disabled is not a good position to be in.

If you look in the utorrent settings to see what port number its trying to connect to the internet through. Its said some ISP's block default no's in the 6881 range. If your in that area you could try changing the port no to something between 50000 and 65000.

Previously some people had problems with utorrent I can't remember what version it was.
Another option is to remove it and try a different torrent software, noting the port number which your firewall should ask you for permission to access the internet.

You will see TCP and UDP Firewall ports mentioned I would say yes to both, but make TCP and UDP use the same port number eg 52000. The Windows Firewall is worth clicking the options to learn it.

Not sure about the antivirus, perhaps you could try another

Hope this helps.

Hi
Thanks! I use utorrent 3.4.5 > WIN7ServicePack1 and have search for problems with these combination, nothing found. The windows firewall and also the anti-vir excluded utorrent with a static port (5xxxx, fixed in TCP/UDP). Maybe itīs another problem which I found today, not sure whatīs going on. Next day I ul a little bit and test again.
Thanks

Re: Uploading probs

Use U-torrent version 2.2.1 . . . it's the best version because it's the first version . . . go to the U-Torrent website and download it from there, uninstall your current one first, then install the 2.2.1 version and it should be good to go . . .

Re: Uploading probs

Hi
What antivirus are you using? Have you uninstalled it and tried another?

If your using the recommended version of utorrent, was your firewall switched off while you checked for connectivity?

Are you using a VPN? if so have you tried it switched off - while considering your utorrent port number?

best of luck.

I used Avira Anti-Vir, utorrent is excluded
No VPN.
Later I change the utorrent version to 2.2.1, no sure itīs helpfull or not
I had the firewall and antivir off briefly to incite the UL, with the first Leecher I switched F/A on and all fine, all leecher after the first can get the UL without any problem.
