any way to finalize a VHS>>DVD converter dvd?

do not have access to the Samsung VHS>>DVD recorder, have a converted disc, don't know what's on it. Is there anyway, without the recorder, to finalize the disc? I for some reason didn't finalize the one disc.

I think the disk should play anyway.. See what happens when you put it in your PC / Mac or what ever. I copy to a recorder using a RW and never finalize. I bring the disk to authoring software on my PC... then reuse the disk.. Once its finalized thats it for that disk...

You may need to extract what's on it with something like ISOBuster. http://www.smart-projects.net/cdrecovery.php The free, trial version may or may not work. Once you extract the files, reburn it to a new disc.

Thanks for your replies, I'll give it a shot & won't finalize in the future to save some discs.

+RW's do not require finalizing, -RW's do. Both +/- RW's can be used over and over if you erase what's on them. I use both formats and know that finalizing a -RW isn't the end of it's life. Just erase it with your burning software. If you need a reliable burning app, download ImgBurn.
