usb sound cards

looking to get a usb sound card for my laptop. any thoughts on which brand, models to check out?

im looking for strictly playback from my laptop. also must have the 5.1 option and optical cable compatible. must reproduce excellent sound. ive heard a few where the music sounded muffled.

any recommendations would be very helpful..

Re: usb sound cards

I loved my creative/soundblaster extigy, then killed it moving. I replaced it w/ a phillips PSC805 (aurillium) which I have also been very happy with.
