G-Spot info vs. PowerDVD info

So why does G-Spot say my DVD bitrate is 9586 kbps and PowerDVD says it's 5.60Mbps?

Re: G-Spot info vs. PowerDVD info

I would trust G-Spot

not sure why PowerDVD is different.

Re: G-Spot info vs. PowerDVD info

I think maybe this DVD is VBR or something. When I click on the PowerDVD info at different spots it gives different bitrates.

I tried another DVD and it seems constant and matches G-Spot.

I think G-Spot uses the MAX bitrate, while PowerDVD shows you the current bitrate at any given point in time.
When you want to know the bitrate of a DVD, the AVERAGE bitrate should be used, the maximum bitrate is pointless..

Re: G-Spot info vs. PowerDVD info

Hm, so do you know what I can use to be sure to get the average bitrate?
