Master vs DAT MASTER CLONE

master is non specific meaning the original master "tape" reel, dat tape , cassette mini disc etc.

dat master is a master dat tape

dat master clone is a digital copy of a dat master tape which if done properly is a perfect copy. dats are digital and if all works properly the clone is a perfect copy all the ones and zeros are identical.

a 'dat master clone' could also be a "perfect" copy of an analog source

perfect meaning it sounds as good as the original
