Problem with folder size for DVD9

I downloaded the mule show that Benny posted & seeded 2:1 of course. How come when I try to burn this on a DL DVD9 a message comes up saying the compilation is too big for the disc. In Nero when I add the mule TSVideo folder to my video folder it shows that the folder is more than 8.35 gigs, but when I right click on the folder & click properties it says that it's 8.35 gigs, What's up with this?

Re: Problem with folder size for DVD9

You need a dual layer burner and dual layer discs for these videos.

If you don't have those check out videohelp.com for tips on shrinking and/or splitting it.

Re: Problem with folder size for DVD9

how much extra space do you have on your drive?

what burn speed are you using? try turning it down to 4x or less.

try using a different burning program.

Re: Problem with folder size for DVD9

I have tried all of the above... I am burning at 2.4x, well I would be burning at 2.4x if it would let me burn.

Have you looked in the torrent thread? Seems like there are some answers there, not the one I will choose but still a way to "shrink" the disc to fit.

Re: Problem with folder size for DVD9

Is there a setting in Nero that you need set that says you are burning to a DVD9 and not a DVD5? (Sorry, I'm on a Mac so I'm unfamiliar with Nero.)

And, have you tried any other burning program besides Nero?
