Synching Outside Audio to Video

I've tried searching past topics, but can't find an answer.

I am trying to synch soundboard audio to an audience recorded video. I really just can't figure it out. I have Audacity and Sony Vegas @ my disposal. Could someone give me a quick step by step, or a link to one? I'd be greatly appreciative. Thanks!

Re: Synching Outside Audio to Video

this one's been asked several times, I guess we should put it in the FAQ already...

here's a good thread on the topic, esp post #6

Vegas is all you'll need. It can be intimidating at first but once you get the hang of it you'll be able to line up as many sources as you please.

What is the recording? If you don't want to do it yourself I might be able to help you out. depending on who the artist is.
