DVD authoring software

I wonder if some of the experienced folks around here would be willing to recommend some DVD authoring software. I'm completely new to this, but I'm a quick learner. Either PC or Mac platforms are fine. What do y'all recommend, and why? Thanks so much!

Re: DVD authoring software

I like Sony DVD Architect. It is simple to use and interfaces well with Photoshop and Vegas. It also makes Bluray DVDs with full menus. A lot of software can't do that such as Apple DVD Studio Pro.

Re: DVD authoring software

Macs -- i use Final Cut Studio [DVD Studio Pro for the authoring part]...but as saltman pointed out, it doesn't support Blu-ray yet [which i personally never use anyway]

but for BR-authoring you can use Adobe Encore

Re: DVD authoring software

Womble MPEG Video Wizard.
It's looks like light version of Adobe Premiere, and it's very simple, takes not much MBs on HDD, works with many formats, you can easy edit your video and then export it in any format or author DVD. DVD authoring is very simple too.
Just try.
