RE: Photo capture: .png

I like to pull photos off of dvd videos so that I can create cover artwork. I am noticing that people are starting to use .png format photos as opposed to .jpg. I understand that this is lossless format and therefore better quality.

Q: How to create .png format photos from dvd files?

Checkout Irfanview, it's free . I use PowerDVD to grab my screenshots, then Irfanview to convert the BMP file to the desired format. PNG is supported.

Re: Photo capture: .png

Thanks. So, how do you capture screens with PowerDVD? That would be very helpful.

There's an icon on the player that looks like a camera. You can capture a frame to the clipboard or to a file. See the configuration button for setting this up.
