DVD menu comes up then NOTHING !!!

Got some footage of Waysted the other day on dvd , looks like a great disc but theres a problem. You put the dvd into a SA dvd player the menu comes up , you go to select the track up want, then nothing , the menu still stays up, but the dvd counter is showing that it is playing, but NO , it's not. Any ideas folks. BTW it's Waysted live at the ECT London 1985, proshot.

Re: DVD menu comes up then NOTHING !!!

When the Menu comes up ,instead of pressing play as you would do normally ,press 1 on your remote & then play.
50% of the time this will overide the start position from menu command and go directly to the chapter position(that being the start ,1).
It still may not work depending on age of machine but it's an option for you.
Other than that it's a rip 'n' re job.
