Simple DVD Burning

I downloaded the Pink Floyd Divided We Fall DVD, and I'm not sure how to burn it on DVD. I tried looking for this information on the site but couldn't find it, so I apologize if I'm making a redundant post. Is there any free software that will work for this, or do I have to buy some? I have some crappy software that came with the computer, sonic or something, but it seems to be only for making custom menus and stuff. I'd appreciate some help thanks. I wish my share ratio would show the gigabytes I've uploaded from that show, but I'm less concerned about that then I am getting this on DVD. Also, do I need the dual layer DVDs? Thanks,
Riggaberto

Re: Simple DVD Burning

you only need dual layer if the size is over 4.5GB

...so usually not!

I'm not sure about free software, my burner came bundled with nero express, that works very well and is easy to use.

any free software suggestions?

Re: Simple DVD Burning

I'm so frusterated. I downloaded Burnon CD/DVD. But I just cannot figure this out. It says I'm missing like ccd files or something or another. It's just not fucking working. Can someone help me please? Does anyone have sonic to burn DVDs? I'm know what I'm doing with a computer, I just can't figure this out. Thanks,
Rigga

Re: Simple DVD Burning

the full name for the sonic one is it record now? I have that on the pc but once I upgraded the burner it won't recognize the burner. I can try and walk you through it if it is, but keep in mind it's been a while. If you can normally burn and it's just this one giving you problems, usually you can download nero free for 30 days (or until the end of the month, whichever comes first)

dvd burning question

hi...i JUST got a dvd burner for my comp. i have nero for burning. it's my understanding that in order to burn a dvd, you simply go to the Video TS file and select what's in there to add to your project. the total size of the folder is 4.3 gigs...but when i go to burn with nero, it reports the size to be 5.35 and says that it's too big to fit on a standard dvd! what gives? is there a way around this, or am i doing something wrong? any insight would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.

Re: dvd burning question

Are you deffinate that you only added that single folder?

Right-click the folder in explorer and click properties. The "size on disc" value is how much space the thing actually takes up, and therefore how much DVD space it would need to use. Is this still below about 5.2/5.3gb?

And never try to write too close to a disc's maximum capacity. I try to keep below 700mb "size on disc" on a 730mb CD and 4.3gb "size on disc" on a 4.5gb DVD.

Re: dvd burning question

Is it a show you downloaded from here?

Can you post a screen shot?

There's always a little bit of fluff between what Windows reads as the file size and what Nero reads. But it shouldn't be a 1 Gig difference....

I use nero to burn the dvd concerts that i download from here. usually everything works but just recently the dvds that i burn come out wrong. when played in my standalone dvd player the audio is fine but the video is jumpy, kind of like when a video cassette would get eaten. i have changed nothing in my burning process but i dont understand why all of a sudden it doesnt work. any ideas? thanks
