Re: Hi-MD Minidisc Masters

If they're recorded as PCM (ie CD quality) then they're regarded as lossless and should be allowed. My understanding is that they (the Hi-MD recorders) could also record in lossy formats, so it's best to check them to make sure.

Re: Hi-MD Minidisc Masters

Hi-MD doesn't mean lossless. It's just a high capacity disc. If the MD recorder can be set to record in PCM and that setting was actually used, then it is allowed.

How can one tell if it was set to the PCM setting?
It was a SONY MZ-M200 Hi-MD Recorder.
