newbie question -- FLAC to WAV

I want to burn some FLAC files onto a cd so that they are playable in a stereo. How do I do this?

Re: newbie question -- FLAC to WAV

get foobar2000, make sure you download the special installer and select full installation when prompted.

when you've got foobar2000 installed, highlight the tracks you want to burn, right-click and select "write audio cd". this is about the fastest and easiest way that comes to mind.

when you get more advanced you should burn with EAC (write offsets corrected)

all the links are in my signature

hope this helps

Re: newbie question -- FLAC to WAV

If you use Nero you can install the FLAC plugin from this site: http://neroplugins.cd-rw.org/
That works fine for me

Re: newbie question -- FLAC to WAV

Or you can use a free little program called Switch (http://www.nch.com.au/switch/) which easily converts from flac to wav in a matter of seconds

Re: newbie question -- FLAC to WAV

Switch looks way too bloated. If you just want a simple little program to convert flac to wav use Multi-frontend with the FLAC binary. It uses about 1.5 kB. See the links in my signature below.
