I'd love to be able to have this awesome program working on my laptop...
Please contact me via email (the address can be found in the About dialog and the Help file of TLH) so I can send you a program that maybe is able to fix this.

Should visit the forums more often I guess as I've only just noticed this thread.

Just gotta add my thanks for the pure genius in coming up with the idea and the prog. Always recommend to anyone progressing to lossless trading.

Re: Trader's Little Helper

I had understood that cog would play the flac files (i am using a mac and understood mac does not utilze cog) so i downloaded azureus and cog but I am unable to get sound. I found a flac that is supposed to work with mac but cannot figure out how to change it now. any suggestions?

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, thanks for having me.
Always been happy with tlh until a month or so ago when it started giving the following message
"At least one of the required subcomponents was not found".
that was when i was running tlh v.1.0.0.72
i then upgraded to the latest version of tlh and now whenever i try to decode
shn files i get the message that the file is either truncated or corrupt. The below log is what i ended up with this

6 [main] shntool 3124 C:\WINDOWS\shntool.exe: *** fatal error - C:\WINDOWS\shntool.exe: *** fork: can't reserve memory for stack 0x239960 - 0x240000, Win32 error 487

7 [main] shntool 3592 C:\WINDOWS\shntool.exe: *** fatal error - C:\WINDOWS\shntool.exe: *** fork: can't reserve memory for stack 0x239960 - 0x240000, Win32 error 487
15 [main] shntool 652 fork: child -1 - died waiting for longjmp before initialization, retry 0, exit code 0x100, errno 11
shntool: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable
error while forking child process, see above.

Anything i can do, has there been a fix since earlier posts or should i just uninstall tlh, sorry to shout but I'M GUTTED, i loved tlh but now it's really screwed me over.Is there another way of decoding shn files.
BTW, i recently d/l winamp, i've sinced got rid in favour of media monkey, could either of them contributed to this or am i getting paranoid.

Whiskybob.

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Everytime I try to decode a shn file, I get the message "At least one of the required subcomponents was not found in the Windows directory. Process will be terminated." I have used TLH for a long time and never seen this. Any help? Thanks.
Danny

Trader's Little Helper needs the files listed below located in you Windows directory (usually C:\WINDOWS or C:\WINNT):

aucdtect.exe
cygwin1.dll
flac.exe
mac.exe
metaflac.exe
shorten.exe
shntool.exe

If one of them is missing "your" message box will pop up. You can download the full set of files as a zip archive from here.

Re: Trader's Little Helper

So, i dl these. But I am having problems. I have to open these files and then decode from that Window, rather than just clicking on TLH and decoding. And sometimes this doesn't work. Why are these files gone? It's wierd that one day i'm decoding fine and the next all these files are missing. Anyway, how do I dl these files so i can decode in TLH like I used too? Please HELP!!!!!

... ????? ...

1) Download zip file by clicking on the word "here" at the end of my last post.
2) Unzip all that's in that zip file to your Windows directory. If you are asked "overwrite yes/no" answer "yes".
3) Start TLH and try to decode or whatever you want to do.

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Thanks for your help. So when i click on "here" it says "open", "save." And I've tried both. I get directed to a site that is in all German and I can't understand, I think it's "upload.com" However when I hit open or save, Neither time do I get a zip file. It just saves it into the Windows directory. And I get the same thing, file corrupt or truncated when I try to decode. I removed the program and re dl it. I can't udnerstand why these files aren't there. Please keep trying to help me!!!THANKS!!!
