Video Capture Wares

I have looked at different threads here, but started a new one because the ones that pertain to this subject are 6 years old.

I would like to know what the best paid and free programs are that I can use to capture streaming content from my computer. Any suggestions?

Re: Video Capture Wares

Let me go a little bit further as well...It needs to be a true screen capture as what I am trying to record is unfortunately streamed using MS Silverlight. It is a MediaSite stream (for those that know what that is).

Believe me, I have Googled...for hours. I would like some feedback from those that actually have ripped streaming media.

Re: Video Capture Wares

Can you post a link to the video you want to capture?

If you just want a screen capture program (record whatever is playing on your screen) then check out Camtasia.
