PAL to NTSC converting DVD player resource guide

Since so many people constantly whine about PAL sources not playing in the USA, it seems like a good idea for folks who have (or know of) a player that'll do it to list the brand and model number.
It'll make it easier for those who haven't yet gotten a converting player to find one.
Since the great majority of the best shows are PAL, this item is a necessity, not a luxury.

Searchable technical specification of various players, recorders, capturing cards you can find at VideoHelp. Another site which provides useful info is Club CDFreaks.

Re: PAL to NTSC converting DVD player resource guide

numerous threads about this here already, but pretty much most of the cheap dvd players you can buy a WallyMart or similar will play anything -- PAL, NTSC, data discs, etc...there are numerous namebrand players that are multi-system as well, such as these

the "cheapo" brands i can remember offhand would be Apex, Cyberhome, Coby, ILO, Durabrand, etc

I have an Oppo 981HD which I love, no complaints.

Doesn't do dishes or laundry.
