Re: Burning FLAC on a Mac

Do you want to burn them as flac files (like for archiving) or burn an audio CD to listen to in a CD player? I use Toast Titanium for both. It isn't free, but it's also not overly expensive.

Re: Burning FLAC on a Mac

i wonder if there's a plugin for iTunes that'll burn flac "on the fly" [like nero]

you can use xACT to decode from flac to wav and then burn using iTunes or whatever prog you prefer...i'm with Lynne, Toast is the way to go

Re: Burning FLAC on a Mac

well if you just want to use iTunes for now... what you want to do it download something called xACT.. you can use that to convert the files to WAV or AIFF. Then from there you can use iTunes to burn them as WAV or you can convert them to MP3.. it is up to you

yeah, they will still be lossless. If that is what you want, then after you get them into your iTunes library, do NOT convert them to MP3.. just burn them as WAV

Re: Burning FLAC on a Mac

and also.. when you decode the FLACs to WAV with xACT.. make sure the box that says "delete original files" is UN-checked, or else it will delete the FLACs from your computer
