Does anyone know of some software that:
-runs on xp
-edits wavs
-and can attack(get rid of) particular parts of the spectrum?
and hopefully free lol

anyone out there?

audacity.sourceforge.net

in the preferences set export quality to 16bit 44.1kHz for normal 'cd quality' stuff. if you're working on 24bit files, set the bit depth to 24bit, eh.

I mean, i'm looking for something that can cut out a particular range. For example 14208 - 14848

I'm not certain about free progs that can do that but Adobe Audition can.
