The firewall that cant be put out

Okay, I have tried everything. I have XP SP 2 with a Linksys BEFSR41 (v.3-5). I dont use any firewalls other than the XP and linksys ones. I'm try to forward ports for ABC 3.1. I did the portforward.com method for my router and ABC for port 6881. I opened up 6882-6889 as well. For all the ports I opened them in both the XP firewall and the Linksys firewall. It still says I'm firewalled here at TTD and when i do NAT test they fail as well. My upload speed rarely gets above 0.8 kbps. I have no clue what else to do. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: The firewall that cant be put out

Do you use any sort of anti-virus software (you need to forward your ports through it also). You might also try using ports other than the standard 6881-6889. Some ISPs are aware that those are standard bt ports and are throttling them.

I dont use any anti-virus. I do have a lot of AOL crap on here from other people who use this comp. I changed the ports and still no luck.

Re: The firewall that cant be put out

Did you remember to follow the directions at portforward.com to give yourself a static IP? http://portforward.com/networking/static-xp.htm You need to do that in order to correctly forward your ports.

(You might want to look around on there and see if they talk about AOL users at all. I don't have time right now to do that.)
