I Just Uploaded A New Torrent, UTorrent Goes Right Into Download Mode

I just downloaded the latest version of UTorrent (which totally sucks), I just added a new torrent. I do everything exactly the same way I have been doing it for the last 6 years. Except now when I perform the final step of downloading the torrent file and directing it to the folder, UTorrent goes right into download mode without checking the files.

Any ideas here? The kids really wanna rock out to Mountain tonight.

I know that in my version unless you add the torrent from the "add torrent" button it doesn't check. Try that?

Is the download folder the same as where the files already are? (Check on the screen that pops up when you add the torrent)

If that doesn't work, I got nothing.

Stop download > delete torrent file from utorrent > Close/Reopen Utorrent >
Options > Preferences > UI Settings > When Adding Torrents > Save Changes below > Add Torrent file...Fixed?

that's how I was set up.

I got tired of messing with it and downloaded BitTornado and now it's working fine. Maybe it's time to retire UTorrent.

I had exactly the same problem with Utorrent. Was trying to upload a torrent to Zombtorrents with it so now trying Tradersden. I'll let you know if it works...

Just tried to seed my torrent again and Utorrent is still showing the torrent as idle and in "downloading" mode. Time to convert to BitTornado I think. What operating system are you using? I'm on Windows 7 Home Premium.

Re: I Just Uploaded A New Torrent, UTorrent Goes Right Into Download Mode

Also doesn't show share ratio per individual torrent. I went back to an older recommended version - didn't show upload speed. Went back to a 2009 version, everything works fine, except I am not getting any traffic on uploads and downloads. Oh well, I am sure we all have more than enough to listen to.

Re: I Just Uploaded A New Torrent, UTorrent Goes Right Into Download Mode

I have a new problem with u-torrent since this morning. instead of asking where to download to as it always has done it just downloads to a default point. I'm not sure why it's doing this and I don't know what to adjust.
The only thing I'm aware of changing is that I ran c-cleaner a couple of days back but u-torrent was working as usual yesterday. I set up a new torrent today and it justr went to whichever unstated point. Presumably downloads. But I have folders set up for downloads to go to and I don't want to have to continually direct every torrent manually by resetting download location.
Is this happening to anybody else?
