Port forwarding while using a VPN??

Still showing "Firewalled" ..I'm Trying to figure out how to port forward while using a VPN. I'm using Express VPN and have looked thru their help/settings, don't see an option in there settings to forward ports. My router is the Linksys AC2200 mu-mimo. Even when I dosconnect from my vpn..I'm still showing Firewalled. I am having No problems with all my other torrents from other sites uploading and down is working perfect from every other site but Here.
Thank you in advance.

Re: Port forwarding while using a VPN??

It may be a firewall on your ISP's side. If that is the case you would have to contact them and ask them to set up a port forward for your account, which they may or may not accommodate.

Firstly, check if you have ports appropriately forwarded and opened by your ISP, without VPN. While client running, go to canyouseeme.org or portchecker.co (or any other similar site, there are plenty).

That's the target (partially blurred):

Re: Port forwarding while using a VPN??

on my PC without the vpn, port I'm forwarding is Open. On this PC i'm using for Torrents, it is not...Unless i connect without the VPN. ..then it is open and successful. They are connected to the same router. So ...my VPN is evidently not capable of port forwarding at this time.
Still showing I am FIREWALLED though.. does it take time to "reset" ??
Thank you for the quick replies and help.

Nothing you can do with that, I'm afraid.

Yep, it'll take 2-3 days, sometimes even more to reset, depends on tracker's software I guess.

Re: Port forwarding while using a VPN??

Have my port forwarding working ..kind of... I have my VPN disconnected...
Do I want port 80 open, or ports ranging from 6881-6889 like the Help section states??
When I set up my router I can setup both, but only One of them shows "success" at a time on CanYouSeeMe.org and the Firewalled red status only disappears when I have Only One of those port forwards open.

What do you need ports 6881-6889 opened for if you don't mind me asking?

There's no need for opening port 80 for the torrent's sake. I'd also recommend to set custom port in the client (23456 for example) and have it forwarded.

Once the likes of canyouseeme sees you, you're fine.
