Re: Nero 7 Ultra Edition burning help?

So, what exactly "doesn't help?"
Kinda hard to troubleshoot unless you say "what" in any of those step by step instructions isn't working.
Two word replies are great for texting on your phone, but doesn't tell anyone much in this situation.

-What OS are you on
-Is the Nero program opening
-If it is opening, what steps are you following and where are things not working
-Are you getting any error messages
-Are you "not" getting an error message and the disc won't play later
-Where have you tried playing the disc if so
-Is it a show from here and is anyone else noting problems in that torrent thread
-Is your one disc drive DVD burning capable
Details like this do wonders in helping you.

Re: Nero 7 Ultra Edition burning help?

open Nero Burning ROM:

--select DVD-ROM (UDF) as yer disc type
--drag the show's VIDEO_TS folder [and its contents] to the project window
--drag [or create if the torrnt didn't include one] an empty AUDIO_TS folder
--create a new folder called EXTRAS_TS , put all extra files in it [info text, checksum, art, etc]
--burn

Re: Nero 7 Ultra Edition burning help?

this will make it playable on most players...to make a strictly watchable copy with no checksums/info/etc:

open Nero Burning ROM:

--select DVD-Video as yer disc type
--drag all of the files in the show's VIDEO_TS folder [.ifo, .bup, and .vob files] to the red VIDEO_TS folder in the project window
--burn

however, if you don't keep the checksums, info texr, etc it'll basically make the show untradeable at that point, as most folks want all of the files that originally came with the show...so i would try the first way and see if yer DVD player will read it

Re: Nero 7 Ultra Edition burning help?

When you burn a bootleg DVD, does the md5 checksum no.s change, or do they stay the same?

What I mean is I create an md5 file, I got the long no, then I burn the DVD, then I rip it and create another md5 file from it, will it be different?

Re: Nero 7 Ultra Edition burning help?

it shouldn't, unless there was some sort of an error in either the burning process or copying back to the hard drive

there is one exception -- sometimes the md5 hash will change on the .ifo & .bup files...this is due to an issue in the dvd's structure files when it was authored [usually happens with SA transfers, and cheap authoring progs], and the burning program "fixed" it when you burned to disc...the actual video files [.vob] have not changed at all, so i wouldn't worry about the ifo/bup md5's not checking out
