Re: Report all ratio issues here

theCOD, I just noticed you are using a proxy server when you post. I would guess that that is why your stats aren't updating. (The tracker associates you with your IP you use on the site. If it is different than the one it 'sees' when you are torrenting, then it doesn't know who to 'credit'.)

Re: Report all ratio issues here

My client is BitTorrent 4.0.4 and I run on Windows XP Home Edition.

The tracker updates accurately when I'm seeding but the board stats don't get updated (they are "stuck" at 4.36 GB/5.40 GB/1.24). I always seed at least 100%, so it really dosen't matter in a practical sense, but I don't understand why the tracker is correct, but not the board stats.

I've attached a screen shot of the peers list of my last download/uploading activities.

Question Re: Report all ratio issues here

If I log in from a different IP (at work) I notice that my name disappears from the torrent I'm seeding. Does this mean I'm not receiving upload credit while I'm looking at my torrent progress on a different machine?

I'm not all that concerned about it, since I have a good ratio, but I'd like to know for future reference.

Richard

Re: Report all ratio issues here

mr_moto, I'm not sure why they would be so different. The Peers List stats do get updated at a different time than your user stats (under your name), so that could be why they are off. Have they been 'stuck' for a few hours?

rflynn, if you are logging in from work when you are seeding from home (or the other way around) then, yes, the Peers List will only show an IP and it will not update your user stats.

U2Lynne, my User stats have been "stuck" since the first torrent I downloaded and subsequently seeded to 124%, which was several torrents ago. With every subsequent torrent the tracker updated my Peer List stats correctly, but my User stats never got updated.

Re: Report all ratio issues here

Hmmm, I did notice that everytime you post on the site, it is under a different IP number. That could be causing the problem. If you send a message to the Contact Us link with what your total upload and total download should be, we can manually change it.

Thanks U2Lynne. I sent the contact message.

The reason my IP number may be different everytime I post is that my dsl IP address is dynamically assigned. When I shut down my computer I also turn off my dsl modem (in other words I'm not "always on"), so when I start up my computer and reset my dsl modem I'm assigned a new IP number. hope this helps and thanks once again!

Re: Report all ratio issues here

As of late, I've been noticing that although I continue to seed, my upload counter remains constant. Not sure if this has anything to do w/ it, but while it says I have no activity on this tracker, the show I'm seeding shows that my I.P. number is uploading while my user name is not shown.

Question Re: Report all ratio issues here

Greetings and great site! Had update issues before and thought I'd try the site again. Was on http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ad.php?t=10090 for about 4 days (D/L 4.33, U/L 11.1) and nothing was or has ever shown in my account, though it did show on the tracker.
*Seemed* to be updating on the current link (http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ad.php?t=18338) though now the U/L seems stalled, though I'm still seeding.
Mac OSX, Mainline 4.0.2
Could this be fixed - just don't like showing a ratio that doesn't reflect the respect I have for the site and for the trading community.

Re: Report all ratio issues here

Ok, so I spent a week UL the Phil & Friends Atl. DVD before I realized I wasn't getting anywhere. I couldn't even begin to guess how much I UL'd. However, now that I know this is here I'll begin letting ya'll know how much I've UL'd when I quit seeding.

Re: Report all ratio issues here

Howdy, Lynne. I downloaded another show off of the old tracker, so I need my stats manually updated, again. It is the String Cheese Incident show from 3/9/2000. Download: 4.446 GB. Upload: 18.100 GB. My share ratio on this was +4.071. Thanks.

Re: Report all ratio issues here

Holy cow. I thought I was going crazy, but it looks like I'm not alone in this. I'm fairly new here, but have downloaded a good bit of DVDs. For every download, I let it seed at least 100% and often to 200%. I always had pretty good ratios as a result.

Now, I've been stuck around 1.01 for weeks and can't figure out why. I don't want to be a mooch. I want to give back and I thought I was doing what I was always doing as far as letting the completed product seed past 100%. Something U2Lynne said may be the answer....I just started checking this site from work and I'm auto-logged in whenever I pull up at work. All my download/upload activity is from home...which is also auto-logged in when I pull up the site. Is that the problem? I should kill the cookie at work that auto logs me in?

Re: Report all ratio issues here

Hi marleymann, I would kill that cookie at work since that could easily be your problem. You should still be able to read the forums even if you aren't logged in.
