Re: Best BT Client

I use G3 95% of the time with no trouble whatso ever, azureus is my second choice. They both have alot of the same features and each have a couple that would be nice to see in the other.

Re: Best BT Client

The first client i downloaded was SHAD0WS experimental S-5.8.7. i think it was not long after this that BitTornado came out, but i've never had any problems with the experimental client.

Am i missing anything by not upgrading?

Re: Best BT Client

I moved from Shadows S-5.8.7 to Azureus and I find it a breakthrough.
Great is the possibility to choose any single file of the torrent, very useful if you want to check a show avoiding to download it in its entirety.

I had a problem at another tracker with that client (which I still use, btw). I got this error:

ERROR - rejected by tracker - unsupported tracker protocol - please upgrade your client

This caused me to go get a new one. I need my VH fix.

BitComet allows that too. Does BitTornado?

Again, no problems accessing http://bittornado.com here. See if http://66.90.104.135 works.

You really should move up to BitTornado v0.3.7 at least as it's the latest stable version.

You can even download it via bittorrent:
Attached Files
File Type: torrent BitTornado-0.3.7-w32install.exe.torrent

Hey - that's actually pretty cool. Look how much information is illustrated with just one display!

I hope they port it to x86 when it's stable. Looks really neat (assuming it'll work, of course)

Re: Best BT Client

Speeds have nothing to do with what client you use. Speeds have to do with bandwidth, firewalling, seeding of the torrent, etc. When it comes to speeds all clients are the same.
