Re: converting video files

Flac is used for compression of audio files only. Decode to wav and burn to cd. Or if you have to, compress the wav to mpg3 and put on your ipod.

Azureus is one of many bit-torrent clients that can be used to download either audio or video torrents. Trader's Den is the kind tracker!

Unfortuneately DVD video disk downloads are not compressed! Once you have downloaded the video, use Nero to burn to dvd by dragging over the video_ts folder.

There are some programs out there that will take the video_ts vob files and convert them to mpg/2/4 /quicktime/wmf/whatever. But I couldn't tell you the names of those.

Re: converting video files

Stardude-
I have been using nero, but it seems i can only play ntsc files....i have been looking for the answer whether it is a tempermental dvd player, or if i have to use something else other than nero to burn PAL dvd's. Anyhow, Stardude or anyone else who may have some input...all would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help

Re: converting video files

You can look up your DVD player here and it will tell you whether it will only play NTSC (you can probably also look in the instruction booklet if you still have that). That site also has tutorials on how to convert video from NTSC to PAL (or the other way). Just remember to only trade the show in the original format.
