FIREWALLED question

I have ports 6881-6890 opened but I'm listed as being firewalled. Something must have changed on it's own but I can't figure out what. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Re: FIREWALLED question

You might want to open up the terminal and type "ipconfig". That will give you your local IP (192.169.1.xxx). Then, login to your router (usually 192.168.1.1) and make sure the ports are forwarded for that local IP.

You can also do a nat check here: http://btfaq.com/natcheck.pl

Re: FIREWALLED question

What client are you using? I switched from BitComet to Azureus and my "firewalled" designation disappeared.

Re: FIREWALLED question

I'm using bittiorrent 3.4.2

I haven't got around to updating to the latest version yet. Another question, is there a better/faster bittorrent program to use? Which one is considered the best?

I reset my router and reopened the ports again and now the FIREWALLED message is gone.
