"Converting" A Regular Router Into A Wirless Router?

I have a Belkin Router and a PC and an iBook. Im trying to "convert" the router into a wireless one the cheapest way possible ( I do not need that much coverage). Is it posssible to just like attach an antenna or something?

Or go with one of these type things:

Any ideas?
