Re: ald audio Vs iem audio

one is from an Assisted Listening Device, the other from an In Ear Monitor...both are typically shite, as the "mix" can be anything from the on-stage drum monitor mix, front of house mix, etc etc...

as to which of those two specific suorces is better, i've got no clue...sorry

Re: ald audio Vs iem audio

if i had to guess a iem would prob sound better because its being mixed by the band and being sent to gear designed more on a pro level
ald are not as pro and are not going to have as strong a signal, typically
thus a iem should be better as a radio would be closer to the station vs miles away

Re: ald audio Vs iem audio

I'd say both are shite like posted above. IEM is gonna be mixed for the particular band member, i.e 90% guitar or 90% bass. It's gonna sound bad. ALD is gonna be closest to the same mix that your here. From that aspect it will be better.
