Ah, I misunderstood you. I thought you were talking about the button on the bottom of the page.

You want me to change it?

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Here is my ? I have an excellent recording to seed, here is the lineage:

Source: dSBD > DAT > dEDIT (level adjustment only) > mkwACT > .shn

Here is the question, I have the text file, I have the MD5's, but no fingerprints. When I copy the MD5's I cant paste them on the thread upload form. If I click on them, they just verify the files and it is all OK. How can I post this thread w/o that info?

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

I have a new question...I belong to quite a few Pearl Jam 'clubs & boards' and over the years, I have gotten many bootlegs, some downloaded, some snail mail trades, some I bought, etc. The ?... Me and Jeff went to the GroundWork benefit in Seattle in Oct. 2001, it was fab. On some board, we talked about it and someone sent me the SBD flac of the Pearl Jam and REM portion of the show. I dont remember who sent it. It is incredible. I have the original files, the MD5's, I even have the jpg's for covers and cd lables...but no where do i have the correct lineage. I spent several hours looking on all the PJ sites I belong to and no where can I find the lineage. This is what it says on what I have:

PJ/REM Digital Mixing and Remastering: (undisclosed)
Artwork: (undisclosed)

I uploaded that PJ MTV show and it got me going thru my files... I have many dozens of shows and this is a great one. We listened to it tonight and remembered what a wild time we had there. I really would love to share this show since it seems there are some PJ fans here. The REM portion is really great too. (I also love them, that was the reason for the trip to Seattle, PJ and REM, wow !)

Please tell me how I can do this or if I can w/o the lineage.

Thanks....Rose

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

So, you got these as flac files a few years ago and there is no information whatsoever about the original source? You just know it is a soundboard - and it appears that there was some remastering of it involved... So, it's something like this, perhaps?

sbd > unknown capture > unknown transfer > digital mixing and remastering > flac

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

I've got two Kate Bush shows I want to seed here. The lineage looks like this:

AUD > cass [unknown gen] > WAV > FLAC

I have no idea what was done to transfer the cassette to WAV, or which program did the FLAC conversion, so what modifications do I need to do to this lineage?

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Sara, you would write it something like this:

AUD > cass [unknown gen] > ?? [unknown conversion] > WAV > FLAC

We aren't so picky on what program converted it from wav to flac, but if a show goes from CDR to wav, we do like to know what program is used since EAC is the one that is considered to be the most accurate.

From what I understand, the transfer was done directly off the cassettes--no CD-R or EAC involved.

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

I have a question...and the answer may be found somewhere, but I couldn't find it with search, and I believe I'm at least in the right forum and thread, so hopefully the flames won't be too hot

Is there a list/link somewhere of artists the Den won't allow to be torrented due to the artist's express wishes?

I remember some torrents have been pulled and the moderators explained that it was against the artists' specific request to the Den.

So I'm wondering if there is a master list or link to it that contains all these so one knows what to avoid.

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Yes, there is a link. It's called the Band Restriction Policy and it is linked in the FAQ drop-down.

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

I received a Type O Negative DVD in the mail from someone here on the Forums. He gave it to me in responce to my request if there were any type o concert videos floating around anywhere. He said he couldn't seed it so he sent it to me to post so the other people on the forums who requested it could also get it. It is from 1999, it was a performance for the Bizzare fest and it looks like it was transfered from a VHS tape. I looks like it was a broadcast from a European TV channel. I do not know the lineage or if it is lossy or lessless. I want to post it so other fans can get it. Is there anyway to find out the lineage (I sent a PM to the guy who sent it but it has been a while and no reply) or can anyone tell me?

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

Ahoy mateys! This salty seadog needs to find out if this show is okay to seed here:

Porcupine Tree 2002-11-03
lineage: Sennheiser Mics (custom-made) > Sony WM-D6C > ? > SHN

I have no idea how the show got from cassette to Shorten, but it's a fine show. I'm already disappointed that the lovely Seattle show I wanted to seed (08/03/2003) has no source info at all, which is a real shame (it's the show where Mikael Akerfeldt of Opeth guests on lead vocals for "A Smart Kid"). The sad thing is that most PT shows lack source info (up until the recent tour).

If this one isn't okay, I'll seed the following, because it's lineage is nice and complete: http://db.etree.org/myshows_detail.php?showid=4810799

Re: Seeding/Lineage Questions?

This show was given to me by a friend. It came on a CD-R DATA Disk. The disk contained a folder with the VIDEO TS file and this text file. I burned it with nero and it looks/sounds great. I ran it through gspot, but I can't seem to find all the info.

Velvet Revolver
2005-06-11
Donington Castle, Eng.
Proshot dvd
The original footage was a squeezed 4:3 with no chapter stops.
I loaded it into Adobe DVD Encore and changed it 16:9 and
added chapter stops.
Video bitrate ???
Audio codec: DOLBY_AC3
Audio bitrate ???
NTSC - 16:9 - Dolby Digital stereo
setlist:
1)Intro
2)Sucker Train Blues
3)Do it For The Kids
4)Headspace
5)Superhuman
6)Fall To Pieces

9)It's So Easy
10)Sex Type Thing
11)Set Me Free
12)Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd cover)

one caveat...
There is a running time code at the top of the picture.
Here is a screen shot of gspot:

Any ideas/help/info would be appreciated
