Re: Trader's Little Helper

So, I already have the FLAC codec as well as the APE DLL installed on my system. Perhaps a standalone version for those with the codecs already installed would be a good idea? I would really love that and this does seem like an awesome program.

Are there any problems with the already installed codecs? The TLH setup only installs subcomponents _not_ found in your Windows directory. And TLH does _not_ need/use the APE DLL.

Question Re: Trader's Little Helper

Just a quick question before sc***ing up: does TLH work on Vista?
Thanks a lot!

There are no problems with the codecs that are already installed, but I believe the ones included with TLH are out-of-date with the exception of the shorten and aucdtect commandlines. That is, shntool is on v3.x.x, FLAC is on v1.1.4, and MAC is on v4.xx BETA. Is there a plan to update these or are these what is to be considered the "safest"/"recommended" versions?

I do not place my codecs in the Windows directory either. I put them in C:\Program Files\codecs\. I did not know that TLH doesn't need the APE DLL though, thanks!

Re: Trader's Little Helper

I started using this on the suggestion of someone on Internet Archive before I ever discovered torrents. This is a great program. Thank you so much!

Unfortunately I can't test TLH on Vista because I don't have it. But up to now I didn't get any emails reporting problems using TLH on Vista.

Do not use the new versions of these command line applications! Shntool was changed in a way that definitely will cause TLH to malfunction or crash. I am working on a new release that will do the job with the new ones (except mac.exe because shntool doesn't work with v4.xx beta) but this will take some months. So it is highly recommended to use the files that come with the installer of Trader's Little Helper.

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Just installing a new comp, and I was wondering - any plans to include SFV file support? I get SFV verification files from time to time and integration into TLH would be cool. Don't know how much hassle that would be, but I thought I'd toss it out there for consideration.

Thanks again for a great program!

Re: Trader's Little Helper

Have been through all this forum and am not sure if the error I'm getting has been covered. I appologise if it has. It's regarding a ffp verification error.
I'm using the latest TLH 1.1.1 (build 90), running on XP SP2.

The following was extracted from TLH:

No errors occured.

This is even happening with flac folders I've downloaded here. I'm sure the files are OK, as they test OK.

Hmmm...I had to re-install windows XP on my laptop and now I'm getting the above error except I have all the files listed above in the windows directory. I'm on vacation or I'd check my other computer to see if anything else is missing. Any suggestions?

I'd love to be able to have this awesome program working on my laptop...
