Exact Audio Copy was free last time I checked. You can download it from here or here. I have no idea how good it is, but the last version of Foobar2000.

My advice is to use both. Foobar for listening music & EAC for ripping.

Downloaded EAC...Just having issues installing ASPI external interface. It only recognises the NativeWin32 interface for XP.
I have Nero 9 installed. Any suggestions?

EAC donīt find your cd? know this prob after change an older motherboard (only p-ata)
the new one with p-ata and s-ata donīt find the cd-drives (both p-ata, lg-dvd and plextor cd) by using EAC. after re-install xp prof sp3 itīs work without ASPI-Int.
best ripping under EAC you need a "better" drive like the plextor. itīs older but can rip with all safe function (accurate stream/C2 error cor./+++) and low speed, my new LG itīs not good enough for audio ripping.

Thanks Ox. After much screwing around with it. I was able to get it to recognise the disc.Man what a process this is configuring the EAC.I'm installing LAME,FLAC etc now.whoa. It better friggin work is all I can say.Lol. During the process all the functions seem to be installing and without a hitch. Cross my fingers. Thanks again Ox for the advice.
