Wow, that really is a shock. I would have said he was too ornery to die.

Re: RIP Freezer

I remember having had about two or three PMs with him, one about a requested reseed of his 1975 Mac-show that I would have only seeded after a "go ahead!" coming from his side, what he did. Other topic was his incomplete 1977 Dead-tape and my question about the remaining set, and he did explain me quite kindly what might have (or might havenīt) happened to the rest of that show. With all the issues he might have had and brought to this site in mind: Exceptional, exceptional taper.

as for freezer, people die all the time, hopefully there is someone to get into pissing matches with, wherever he is, because it sure seemed to make him happy...

Re: RIP Freezer

I never locked horns with Freezer after hearing the quality of tapes, I was humbled at my miserable attempts at taping shows after hearing what he was able to capture back in the day.

May the Lord make his face shine upon you and give you peace.

Farewell Art

Re: RIP Freezer

I still wonder why he spent so much time on the Net crossing swords with ppl he didn't know from sh!t.
Maybe interacting with other ppl (be it in a good or bad way) made him feel alive(r).

If I knew I only had months to live I wouldn't waste one second of my lifetime doing this.

Oh well... maybe someone who knew him well (like TaperAdvocate) has the answer...
