Saddens me to hear this but all good things must come to an end. Hopefully there will be a resurrection or at least a migration to another site. I particularly love Dennis' uploads of Datfly's Blues recordings. Many thanks to all who have made Traders Den great.

Re: We've had a great 19 years!

U2Lynne, can you describe what would need to be done? What kind of ongoing maintenance does the site currently require, and is there also a technical backlog of sysadmin / coding work required on top of that to keep it stable and scaling? How much of the steady-state work is non-technical (moderation, etc.)?

If the site does shut down, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate an archive of the forum posts, or at least the torrent threads; there's lots of useful information about shows and recordings in there.

Re: We've had a great 19 years!

Thanks to all. Been collecting live recordings since I first was mesmerized by and recorded the King Biscuit in the early 80s. Have gotten so many great shows from the Den. Sad to see the Den pass and Father Time is undefeated. Thanks again to all who record and take the time to share. We owe you immense gratitude.

Thanks a million for all your efforts and to all the seeders! I tried to do my best to contribute something to this great community.

Although I'm a bit confused. As of September, 4th 2024 will TTD shutdown? When?

I thought xavier242 took over the site!?

It's not gone yet.
Let's hope somebody with the necessary skills can take over (I don't have them unfortunately).
If not: it's been a good ride here. Discovered a lot of new bands. Thanks to all.

He has health issues and can no longer run the site - http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...d.php?t=202462

Re: We've had a great 19 years!

Sad to hear the news I am curious to know if there are any other staff members interested in keeping the site operational. Additionally, I recently acquired a rack server that is currently building/hosting my homelab currently, and I might be interested in contributing to the hosting efforts.

Could you please provide some details on the current hosting setup
