Just wondering if anybody has used this? I'm looking to switch to Mac at home and Adobe Audition only comes in a PC format.

Re: Peak 5

what up Karst...to answer yer ?--yes, but i've only used it a bit cuz the version that came with my Video Production Suite is limited...but it's a decent little program from what i can tell...

Audacity is free and honestly, pretty damn good considering...here's the links to both the stable version and the new beta version...give it a go...

http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/beta_mac

personally, i'm not sure i could justify droppin the $600 on Peak when Audaicity is free...but if yer interested in spending dough on higher-end music production software, PM me and we can talk...cheers on the switch to Mac...best decision you could make

Re: Peak 5

The latest beta of Audacity has some nice new features, though something seems to have gone awry with the spectral analysis.

I have a moody installation of Peak but I've never needed more than Audacity and, occasionally, Amadeus or Sound Studio. I think I've fired up Peak twice.
