DVD Burning PROBLEMS!!!

OK, I've used Nero, but I'm SICK of it crashing & killing my system. It just freezes, either on the Reading process or very early in the writing process. Occaisonally it will complete a full DVD, but I'd guesstimate it's success rate at about 5%. When it DOES crash my comp, I am forced to do a full reboot, (Ctrl, Alt DEl doesn't respond even) and sometimes I have to hard stop my comp twice before it is opperational again. I've tried re-installing the disc several times with the same results.

I'm looking for a Trial version of a DVD writer that I can burn the TS files too. I've DL'd a few tonight, but they only allow image files to be burnt.

Please, Please, please help, I've GOT to clean off my HD, I've got 30+ Gig I need to clear up!!!

Re: DVD Burning PROBLEMS!!!

Hey, RobDerhak, I've had similar problems w/ Nero. My lastest error message follows:

"Unable to create the disc structure. Transcoding of videos failed. Burn process failed."

As for Roxio, it doesn't recognize any video files I download.

The program Toto is referencing is called ONES not ONE, I've heard it's great for PCs.

Re: DVD Burning PROBLEMS!!!

Have you ever tried to google the band "Free"? Well, it's kinda like googling "ONE" & "freeware" & dvd. Need some more info to get some decent results. IOW, I can't find it.

Re: DVD Burning PROBLEMS!!!

Ok, the "s" made all the difference. Check out this url:

Now I'll see if it works for a tech impaired user like me. Thanks.

Re: DVD Burning PROBLEMS!!!

You are reading the posting of a HAPPY MAN! Initial expirience w/ ONES very positive. I'm now watching FACES at BBC Theatre. Not only did it work, but check the time of my previous posting to see how long it took to download ONES, install it, burn a disc and now ACTUALLY watch it. Many, many thanks!!!
