Re: Need help

both look lossless to me, but the second looks like it mighta had some sorta processing...a zoomed in ~2 sec sample of the SA would help more

I'm pretty sure that one changes audio sources multiple times during the recording, hence why it looks weird.

Re: Need help

The SA in Audacity is pretty useless.

You need to an app like Cool Edit Pro 2.x or Adobe Audition to see the blockies.

That said, I think the first SA you posted is probably ok, but the second looks like it may be lossy.

the 2-3 second span is important, though.. you can't really see well enough when viewing the entire span of the track.

if you can't get a better SA to post, you can always just post a track and one of us will have a look, no problem.

Warning: This happens to be the concert that Dime was shot. The shots are audible in the recording.

Re: Need help

G'day Elochai. The sample you provided is made up of 4, possibly 5 different sources. Check attachment.

Re: Need help

As for this being lossy; not sure. Haven't seen this spectral before. It has definitely had some work done to it but don't know what.

Below is a 2 second grab.
