It's considered that +R media are *likely* to have a longer readable life.

Have no clue as to what any of that means.

The minus have slightly more capacity than the pluses.

I keep minuses handy in case I can't fit a show onto a plus.

DVD+R has less PI Erorrs/Failures then DVD-R. Low number of errors means better media.

Thanks...I used two 100 disc spindles of TY minus, not even one bad disc.

Of the 30 pack Sony plus I buy, I throw away 3 or more.

Re: Tayio Yuden + or -?????

That's not a fair comparison. TY are far superior to current Sony's. Sony's used to be manufactured by TY. but no more. I bet I have burned 2000 dvds/cds that were TY and can only remember one or two that had a bad burn. I have never had one go bad over time.

I don't see where we disagree?

I said TY were far superior to Sony. I didn't throw away ANY of the 200 TY I burned.

Sonys fail often. Usually early on, less than 100,000 sectors burned.

Re: Tayio Yuden + or -?????

Well Sony DVD-R is crap media (just bought some of these and I'm sure I will not use them for my bootlegs). Sony DVD+R are pretty good. At least its better then the new Verbatim made in China. Until 1 year ago I would just go to the store & buy Verbatim, now I have to read where they are made.
