Burning w/Soundcheck

Does burning with soundcheck on (using itunes) affect the way a live recording comes out? Does it cut out the music in any way like that of an mp3 conversion?

I couldn't tell in sound but maybe Im just deaf. But I take it it just regualates the volume on a song to one level?

Thanks for any input

Re: Burning w/Soundcheck

My guess is that it "normalizes" each song individually. If this is what I think it is, don't use it, or at least don't trade it if you do.
