What do you think about this?

Hi. I have the Earl's Court show from Queen dated 06.06.1977. The info file attached to the flac files from the show say the source is the soundboard recording. However, i doubt this seriously. I made some frequency analysis with Audacity (i'm a linux user) and they are strange looking.

For this reason, i wish to ask for your opinion.

Following, i post a frequency analysis of the song "You Take My Breath Away", taken for the time interval 2 min. - 2 min. 23 sec.. If any of you are able to give some valuable info about this, i'd really appreciate it.

I know it's not correct to judge this copy of the show based on 23 seconds of a file but it's a start.

Thanks.

Re: What do you think about this?

looks very bad

Queen shows are notorious for poor quality control, unfortunately!

if you want to up a sample to rapidshare.de / megaupload.com etc I can take a closer look at it

Re: What do you think about this?

Here's the rapidshare link:

http://rapidshare.com/files/405404/T...secs.flac.html

To make this file, i did this:

FLAC > WAV > Audacity > new WAV (from 2 min. to 2 min. 23 sec.) > flac > FLAC

Hope it helps.

Re: What do you think about this?

I got a hold of the file, unfortunately this is a lossy source that should not be shared
