Re: all region blu ray player

when doing your internet search they are listed as: multi region blu ray.

the problem with blu ray (imo) is that original spec features are still being added.
the profile 1.0 players are now dead (they weren't built to the original ISO spec)
profile 2.0 players have an Ethernet port (Blu Ray Live)
this allows for Netflix On Demand HD..etc..etc. more stuff to come.

hope this helps

All the specs are not in yet and availability is still a short time away, but keep an eye on the upcoming player from Oppo Digital. They don't publish it (for a variety of reasons) but their DVD players are all PAL/NTSC and all region, and it is expected the blu-ray will be as well. They are great for providing easy firmware updates for changes/additions to the blu-ray spec and the quality of their stuff is incredible for the prices they charge.

Re: all region blu ray player

Big anticipation for an Oppo Blu-ray player. I bet the marketing guys at other companies hate Oppo. Simple formula - performance, value and word of mouth.
I wish there was a company like Oppo that did audio.
