Phone encryption

Not touching the politics, but a tech question.

Do you do it? Is it worth it, (hassle, etc)?

Right now I own an lg that has the ability to do it, and basically use my phone for web surfing, social media, camera, etc (no banking health records etc)

does it change much, (still be able to transfer pics via usb) problems sending info to other phones? I thought I had a clue on tech, but finiding out how much I have to learn

The Lounge Where we go to play. A sense of humor is an absolute MUST. (No technical help!)

Because of our not-so-beloved government? Encryption with Android or iOS is painless and yes, it is recommended. At the very least you will piss off the not-so-beloved NSA.
