Wireless speakers on an old school set-up

My roomate has a bunch of good quality stereo equipment from the 80s (turner turntable, tape deck etc) but no speakers.

I read you can use a audio transmitter to use wireless speakers with it, anyone have expirence with it? I can run cables and get new speakers but it is going to be a pain in the ass (as the equipment runs in a closet)

Re: Wireless speakers on an old school set-up

If the stereo has a tape out or even headphone out you could get a simple Blu-tooth transmitter. Then you'd also have to get a receiver and amp for the speakers.
