to upgrade >> or not?

One of my recent uploads has an EAC gen listed, but so many of the older shows have them that I did not give it a 2nd thought. Now I have the original fileset with no EAC generation... it's the same show/ same source and everything is the same.

It's not an alternate source. Some folks would have no issues whatsoever with the original upload. I don't want to cause confusion or other disappointment. However, I see it as an upgrade (even though it will sound exactly the same).

I would like to get some direction from you guys. Should I upload the upgraded fileset or let it pass? Should I take it one step further and ask to have the older upload taken down? Do you feel that this is truely an upgrade? I hate to aggravate the folks who grabbed it the 1rst time around, but I shared what I had at the time. What say ye?

Re: to upgrade >> or not?

sounds like you mean it has one less CDR generation in it? The EAC, itself, isn't a problem... just a tool.

To clarify for us, can yo uplease post:
1) the original's (old one) lineage (and a link that torrent if it is here)
2) this new lineage that may be an upgrade?

thanks for checking into it, we really appreciate people making the extra effort to keep the pool clean!

Re: to upgrade >> or not?

I should mention that this is a Yes show from the folks at PRRP. Here is the torrent with the extra CDR generation.

When I grabbed the new fileset it came with this statement (which I modified to remove the other tracker's name).
Quote:
CONTRAST CLAUSE:
This torrent is an upgrade in lineage to the show located here:
(censored)

That torrent has this lineage: CD-R>EAC WAVE>TLH FLAC 6

These are the original SHN files traded from the PRRP group
without a CD-R extraction (or otherwise) in the lineage.
I think we can all agree that the PRRP original filesets are preferred.

********
P.S. Jameskg... Let me know if you wish to see the link to the new torrent that is now at other tracker; I will send it to you by PM.

well that does seem better.

If you want to post it, please post the URL of the show you need to delete, here, and someone will remove the old one so you can seed this replacement.

Thanks

Re: to upgrade >> or not?

I am already seeding the new improved Ocean Tales, so please remove the older version > > http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ad.php?t=67143

We now have an upgrade with No extra CDR. I know it won't sound different, but the lineage is better (for those of us who care about that kinda thing). You can get the new set here... http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/...ad.php?t=68743

... and thanks for all your help on this!

Re: to upgrade >> or not?

I've pulled the old one and put a link to the new one in it.
