hi8 mp fujifilm tape to WAV?

What is the best way to convert audio from a HI-8 MP FUJIFILM p6120 video cassette to WAV? I know I can do it with nero but I'm sure there is a better way. thanks

any audio editing prog will work...for a decent freeware prog, check out Audacity
