RAID R1....

I'm looking for help trying to keep my mirrored files while I restore the main drive.
I have beened violated [virus]& I wish to do a restore & save the mirror.
I'm crashing for the night...if there's anyone who can help me thru this...I will be grateful

Ok....
Can I make my 2nd drive(mirror) a regular hd & then do a restore on my 1st drive.
After I restore drive 1 I can take what's good from 2 & bring it over to 1.
Then dump everything on 2 & bring it back to array....

make sense?

Is your OS on the array? or do you have a separate drive for that. you didn't list it above. and is this a software raid or do you have a raid card not listed above.

I'm pretty sure the MB has onboard RAID. Did the system come from Dell as R1 if so wouldn't the restore put it back that way?

Correct...I'm in Safe mode now
After I retrieve what's needed I will restore.
Hopefully the system will be back to "as purchased"

This sucks


I did a lot of reading yesterday and obtained mucho info.
