Font Question (for DVD menu)

Calling the font freaks of TTD to help me match a commercial font with a similar free font.

These are the two best matches for the type of font I'm looking for. Unfortunately, they are both commercial fonts and kind of expensive for a one-off use.

Relay Bold Condensed

JNL Science Fair regular

http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/jnlevin...-fair/regular/

Does anyone know of a freeware or shareware font for Windows that is pretty close to either of these, or a site that can help you find a close match? I have been looking all over, and I haven't found anything.

Thanks.

Re: Font Question (for DVD menu)

Problem is, that is not a free font and you can't just download it. The site is misleading.

Re: Font Question (for DVD menu)

Actually I just found something that should work. A friend just got back to me in an email.

Thanks for your help, though.

You are correct...they have it listed as a commercially distributed font. The problem is, you are asking for it by the name given by the creator of the font (that was the mistake I made)...kind of like asking for a non generic medicine, you can get vicodin, but you can get hydrocodone for a lot less. There are other fonts that emulate this for free, and unfortunately it is going to take some time going through their free section to find something comparable. With that said, they have a few thousand free fonts, and I am certain there is more than one there that will fit the bill. Try going to the home page, and searching their free fonts.
