Received a real gem that 1000s will dl if I can figure out how to seed a DVD my first time!!!

So DVD Decrypter, which this site recommends had been shutdown.
Should I use ImgBurn (apparently the same thing) instead or use the Roxio Easy cd & dvd creator 6 that came with the plextor that just came in the mail?

Ugh, what an ordeal creating my first dvd seed seems to this computer newbie.
But I just received a hot item and I'd love to give back to this site and to dime for all both have given me over my first few months dl'ing.

Re: Received a real gem that 1000s will dl if I can figure out how to seed a DVD my first time!!!

If all you need to do is rip the DVD files from an already burned DVD, just go to start > my computer > right click on the DVD drive > open > drag the VIDEO_TS folder to your hard drive.

Roxio will work for burning but ONES ($25) is the best. Roxio might alter a file now and then and menu access of dual layer discs might get messed up. ONES never alters a file.

Well, successfully took a dvdr, ripped it, made a copy onto a blank dvdr and it's playing on the TV.
But for making a whole dvd seed.
Is there a step-by-baby-step guide?
Besides the info in FAQs?

And it will need a title page and to be authored.
It presently doesn't have one song per chapter.

You will need a DVD authoring program to make chapters and a menu. I think TMPGenc DVD Author

http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda3.html

or Sony Vegas and Sony DVD Architect are good programs. I'm not sure if there are any free ones or lower cost ones. Someone more knowledgable will help you out though. www.videohelp.com is a good site to check out for free programs and help. If you don't mind, what band/date is this gem?

For DVD authoring I use DVD Lab Pro. It is a great program for authoring DVD's you can do just about anything with it, it's highly recommended.

It's not free software but i'm sure you can probably grab a copy off of a torrents site or whateveer. If you have problems authoring just give me a shout, I have experience with doing such things.

Thanks. I'm gonna give it a go this afternoon.
If successful it will be the first Police audience shot (entire show) DVD torrent of the 2007 tour that I have seen.
Had to go thru unusual channels to get it and pay for it.
Now I'm trying to liberate it.
This dove needs to fly!

OMG Rags847!!! I really hope you will succeed!!!
I understand how you feel: me too owe so much to TTD and Dime and I would like to share but I'm totally ignorant on all these machineries' tricks. But I found friends and used the good old traditional mail to share material!
Good luck! For you and us!!!!

Another option is to find someone who has authored DVDs before and send them the DVD to add menus. Then, they send you back your DVD and the new authored DVD, they keep a copy too, and then you have two seeders already for if you torrent it.

True, Lynne.
A Plan B option.
Any volunteers?
Now I'm off to figure out Roxio Easy CD & DVD Creator 6.

Not interested in someone who likes the Police so little they'd only do it if it was the Maimi show.
Anyway, it's not.

I think DVD lab pro is a great and easy option to add chapters and menus to a DVD.
I am really anxious to see it appear here. Can you tell us why show is it?
