Question NEED HELP PROCESSING AUDIO FROM TULL CONCERT

'Ello

I recorded a jethro tull show last night in 24/44.1 wav

I want to create a torrent, but first I am looking for suggestions on processing the wav files before that.

1) Should I?
2) What basic things should I do?

Re: NEED HELP PROCESSING AUDIO FROM TULL CONCERT

What kind of processing are you referring to? If it sounds good, i'd just dither it to 16-44.1, track it, and torrent it. I'm one of those guys who likes the recording untampered.

Re: NEED HELP PROCESSING AUDIO FROM TULL CONCERT

i was thinking the same mako, however i had the mike gain on 'high' and some of the audio is distored b/c of that at the louder levels. is there anything that can be done post recording to relive that?

Re: NEED HELP PROCESSING AUDIO FROM TULL CONCERT

not really any way to fix that... at best you might be able to soften it a little bit and its a lot of hours of work depending on how many places it distorts. probably best to leave it alone until you've got more experience with this sort of thing imo.

no, that's just a quote from another thread that I added to my 'signature' for comic relief. it appears after everything I post (including this). nothing to do with you.

you're welcome
