GB numbers below my name?

I think these numbers are the amount of gigs I've DL(blue)/UL(green). But not sure. And what about the 3rd number in red?

Re: GB numbers below my name?

The 3rd number is your share ratio.

UL/DL = Share ratio

Re: GB numbers below my name?

you should try to seed until the torrent is at 1.0 or better

Re: GB numbers below my name?

Hey, at least you only have to upload 68 Gigs to catch up.

If you've got some quiet time (overnight? weekdays when you're out working?) and the torrents are still in your BT client, why not just open them ALL up (queue them) and let them flow, rather than just keeping the single torrents open for 24 hours after you finish the download?

Works for me, sort of. Took a couple of nights or so to go from 0.89 to 1.04, but can be frustrating if no-one's leeching when you're seeding - "C'mon, somebody out there connect to this, and help me with my share ratio!"

Regards, Graham

Personally, I like to choose just two or three every night that need help. If I just choose a couple, then they can get some better speeds from me (I upload at just 52) than if I choose several.

Question Re: GB numbers below my name?

How'd you determine the ones that 'need help' ?

Re: GB numbers below my name?

I use Azureus as my client and so it keeps track of all the seeders/leechers for all my torrents. At night I go and sort by leechers (they call them peers) and I look to see if there are any shows that have leechers, but no seeders, and then I will seed them. If there are none like that, then I pick a show will a low seed/leech ratio (like 1 seeder to 10 leechers).
